[QUOTE=klight1122;449353]Bluegillin, where were you at? we covered the entire lake Saturday. We talked to a few, but everyone said no luck. We were in a blue PT175 Tracker, what were you in? Where you live in BG? We fish Malone quite often, we need to hook up some time! I would love to see the si in use.
I put in at the dam and fished the main lake area mostly. I did head up a couple of the creeks. I was in a 16 Xpress jon. Me and a buddy that wanted to check out the SI. I hardly ever fish Malone, just a few times till KY lake hits 50F. I like to go to Malone to get everything ready for spring, with gas at $3.00 KY is too far for a 1/2 day trip. I will be fishing frequently from now till christmas. Drop me a PM and we'll set-up a trip. I bluegill fish mostly, but will try the crappie.
I think the fishing was spotty last weekend. I and a buddy fished pretty hard Saturday and we caught only five fish. The water color that I had fretted about was pretty good and no wind. I just couldn't find the darn things. I did talk to some guys that had a little better luck but not much. I am reading that a little farther south some people had pretty good days. Go figure, I guess they are better fishermen than I am.
THE BANDIT
Eddy Creek Bandit, I was in Dawson Springs today. The company I work for supply the Minit Mart they are building. I believe that water temp and the lake being muddy and high had more to do with it than your abilities. Spring is just around the corner. :)
Me and the member Danny fish for gills quite a bit. Last year malone provided pleanty a feast. We also fish Old Hickory in TN quite a bit. We were talking about KY Lake, but neither one of us have ever fished there. Maybe this year we will change that! If you go back to Malone pm me, if I am off I would love to see the si in operation. I have heard so much about them.

Bandit,
Don't feel bad.....I would have traded my day for yours. Fished hard from 10:30 till 5:45 and never had a bite????? Only saw 1 fish caught in Blood, but there is always someone that finds them. Don't think I've ever been skunked on Kentucky Lake in my life crappie fishing, but at least I finally got out of the house and enjoyed the weather!
I have come to the conclusion that fishing out of a boat was a mistake this weekend, I fished Barkley and have talked to two other guys, one fished Ky, one fished Barkley no one was able to find fish. Go to work Monday an older couple fishing from the bank caught 18 keepers Saturday, A different guy told me his friend caught 19 keepers from the bank Sunday ,all on Barkley.
You know, I am stupid. After reading about the fish caught off the banks I realized that I fished where I thought the White Crappie should have been. From Shallow to very deep, the few fish we caught were pretty deep. However, I did not try to find the Black Crappie, I should have tried a few shallow gravel banks. I am an idiot! Pretty day to be on the lake.
THE BANDIT
Greenwing, were you on Eddy Saturday? I fished from east of the levy to about 2/3rds of the way out to the main lake. I am still hooked on fishing for the Whites, cann't seem to remember to try something a little different. I am fishing out of a black NITRO with a Merc 125, if you ever see me stop by and say hello.
