Am planning on coming down in April to Blood River (KY Lake). Will not be booking ahead for rooms so will probably need to stay in Murray. Any suggestions on where to stay that is reasonable, clean and you can get a boat in and out of without too much problem?

You can't finish what you don't start
I would suggest you book a room ahead of time if you are considering April as they also book up in Murray ahead of time as well w/ ball tournaments, crappie biting, and later in April the Paducah quilt show..... I've stayed at the Best Western and don't remember the boat being much of a problem when I was there, but didn't have to plug it in to charge the batteries.
Casey is 100% correct. If I was going in April, I would be booking my room now. I listened to my fishing buddy once and paid dearly for not booking early. I normally stayed in Aurora when fishing Kentucky lake. One thing to remember is where are you going to eat or are you going to cook. Make sure you have a restaurant close by. It saves a lot of aggravation.

Hope that helps.
I stay at Ken Lake Lodge and it is about 15 minutes away from Irvin Cobb Marina. Rates are cheap and food is ok. Has camping, cabins or lodge.
