    Default Crappie Net Question

I have a question. Every time I go to one of the big crappie lakes I see guys using a fairly long but small crappie net. They aren't the larger ones you use for bass fishing or other sport fish, but appear to be for crappie. They are long so when spider trollers lift their rods they hardly reel at all, but just reach out with these lng crappie nets. What are they and where do you get one? I looked at Bass Pro today and couldn't find one like it.

Crab nets... we get them here at about any tackle store, but we are coastal. Not sure of any other nets, but that is what we use. I used a net I modified with a broom handle for years... worked well.
This only my opinion, but nothing you can say will change my mind. That makes it a FACT.

Jigboy, an Ego net is the way to go. I ordered mine last year and have been pleased with it. It remains light even when full extended and the perfect size for a big slab crappie.

    JigBoy,
How you been doin ? I buy the small nets at the big box or local bait shop and take the plastic end off the handle then stick and old mop or broom handle inside then put a pan screw into the handle . 12 Bucks !! Come on Spring . ><}}}}*>
