    Default Cumberland Stripers?

Thinking about trying them Saturday, has anybody been on the lake recently? Are the fish still in the creeks or the main lake? Can you still put in at the dam (Halcomb's Landing I believe)? Sorry for all the questions but it's been probably 2 years since I've been on C-land. I'll post results, good or bad, when I get back. Thanks fellas.

    Take care,

I don't striper fish, but got a report yesterday from Wolf Creek by a croppie fishing friend. The striper fishermen were way up toward the head of the creek and they were numerous and concentrated so I assume they were catching them and that the stripers are up in the creeks.

Wolf Creek is in Russell County and the available docks there are Alligator 1 and 2.

My friend and I caught six croppie this am in a couple of hours in the Fishing Creek area. We live near Lake Cumberland and only fish here.

    Hope this helps. Thanks

    Hope this helps

take a look over on the www.fishin.com site ... Ky Board. They've been talking Stripers on C-land, lately. You should be able to get info on available/usable ramps, too.
It usually depends on where the Shad are, as to where the Stripers will be.

Thanks for the report fair weather. I've heard similar reports on the fish being in the heads of the creeks but that was a couple of weeks ago. I appreciate the updated info.
CP, I'm checking fishin.com also, I had to get a new password emailed to me last night because I forgot my old one. Thanks

I don't striper fish either but saw some reports saying they were biting from the middle to the heads of the major creeks. Hope this helps.

Well, no stripers for Saturday. Had to cut the day short because of some other obligations that arose at the end of the week. We did catch one nice channel cat, probably 10 lbs, that was released. Water temp was 50 - 51 and there was just a bit of color in the water we fished.
Man was it foggy, had to use the gps to slowly navigate up the lake. Probably only got to fish 4 or 5 hours but it was a nice day. Maybe next time we'll be able to find the fish.
Thanks for all the help fellas.

    Take care,
    Greenfish
