How is crappie fishing at Dale Hollow in Ocotober? I've been to the lake small fishing but may try some crappie fishing this trip.

Brad, October is usually a great time. The Crappie put on the feedbag for Winter!Lake Levels are SUPER LOW and here on the NE end[Wolf River] if they continue to pull water, dont know how much longer we can get out. Already got some ramps that are unusable, here where I live I have to idle about 1 1/2 to reach water deep enough to open up. Go through alot of 2 & 3 ft. water to get there! Be best to check before you come. Dennis www.dalehollowcrappie.4t.com

Thanks for the info. Here in Indiana I normally fish laydowns, stumps, or weeds in the 2' to 15' depth range. We do drift at times. With a deep lake like Dale Hollow what is a normal depth and structure for crappie this time of year?

Same depths and places you are fishing-normal Fall depth is 8-12 ft.
