i am going to dale hollow lake the last of october i'm looking to get some info about where best places to fish i'm mainly going to try the smallmouth i will be putting in at wisdom dock be fishing the ky part thanks for any help

I fish Dale a lot in late fall and winter for smallies. That time of year might be a good time to use live bait for smallmouths. Sometimes you can pick up live shad at the state dock, I have. I am sure there is other docks where you may pick some bait up. I trap and use creek chubs and other large minnows that work well. If you use grubs or jigs or live bait, be sure to hit a lot of the points around the lake. I fish a lot on the Ky. side, but do fish on the Tenn. side also.Usually, November is a little better for me for the smallies, but I have caught a few in October. I have caught a few on bluffs, and a lot of people fish grass beds at different times, but try and hit as many points as you can with some live bait and fish deep, you should have some luck.
