Thumbs up Off Topic: Yur Homeboys

'Bout 20 miles SE of Richmond, VA on the Chickahominy River we have a
place called Rockahock-very small year-round waterside campground with alot of weekend RVers, boaters, campers, etc...coming & going. A good bar called the Rock River Roadhouse, great restaurant- The Foxhunter, and an
outdoor band pavillion/stage which is used for the bands during several music festivals held every summer.

Tomorrow & Sat. is the Hogs, Hosses, & Hinies Festival, a couple days of music with Harley as one of the major sponsors and somewhat of a scooter tramp bash but folks from all walks will be there. This is the one festival of the year known for getting a contact high if ya want one or not and possibly getting hurt by mammaries floppin all over the place if you take to my meaning.:D
    Yes, no fun at all.:p
I have been a fan ever since I 1st heard em and going to see em tomorrow night-the Kentucky Headhunters. For a 50 yr old, I'm as excited as a kid at Xmas!!

Thats good to hear. They always kinda struck me as such but ya never know unless ya really know. Its easy to follow their history & moves as a band but
alot harder to find out much about their personal biography.

If I get a decent pic or 2 maybe I'll throw em up here if the KY members won't mind the off-topic content.

    Default Rowdy you were right

Real good show they really let er rip and played like they were in a packed Madison Sq Garden. They played the middle set between 2 by some other band and I was in the bar making a refreshment run bout 15 min after they played and Richard walked in by hisself and we musta talked 10 min. I have followed their music ever since they hit it big and just know the basics as to who they are and their music over the years. Well Richard is Fred, the drummers' brother and I know ever since Dumas Walker days when ya started seeing em on TV, videos, etc..., the same drum with Metcalfe County Band
on it has been banged on by Fred so I ask Richard about it.
This is pretty good.:D Richard says well Metcalfe Co. is where we are from and 25 yrs ago or so maybe more there was a county facility of some kind that had basic band instruments and they were like for anyone to use who played there. He said they got up there to play and the county wouldnt let em cuz they all had long hair. The bass player got so hacked he peed in the snare drum and next day they had thrown the drum out and the band picked it up and been playing on it ever since.:D
I bet some Metcalfe County official if he or she is still around knows the meaning of "in yur face" if they ever see em play!!:p
