You're in my thoughts. My new right hip is 4 years old. I still weigh too much for my own good but am slowly getting it off. Your pain should be nearly gone by the second day. Commit to rehab and stick with it. If you have access to a heated pool it is great for recovery once decision is healed. I rarely use it but still keep the cane handy. It helped me get through 10 days on my feet in Italy last year. Use any tools you need to make your recovery smoother. Best wishes for a quick and smooth return to your active life.

Oh those Golden Years huh!! Prayers for an uneventful surgery and recovery.
I've been putting off a couple of surgeries myself. I'm sure my day is coming too.

He beat me to the post.
He came through the surgery just fine. He has a lot of therapy ahead of him. Prayers needed for Vickie as an she tries to keep him down to heal. I suggested Super Glue in his recliner.

Great news sir, prayers for complete healing.
Just had my 1st PT session. It’s amazing how badly my right leg has atrophied over the year+ I’ve been suffering with my hip. I’m sure the long term pain I went thru caused that. Therapist says I’m at a great place start wise and most of my exercises will focus on building my leg and thigh strength back up. They also had to teach me to use my cane properly. While I feel I can do OK without it, I still need the balance confidence it gives me.
I want to thank each of you for your prayers and concerns. I still have some PMs I haven’t answered but I’ll get to those soon.
It’s times like these that make me realize how big a part of my life the Crappie.com family is and how much each member means to me. I thank each one of you.

While having a late breakfast this morning at JoJo's who should walk in but Doug & Vickie. He was carrying his cane, but wasn't leaning on it at all. He looked good, and it was good seeing them.
I need to stop working so much, Doug I didn't know any of that. Call me if you need anything.

Thanks folks! I'm working hard in therapy but finding out how sore I am after a hard therapy session. I'm back in my taxidermy studio for a few hours a day. Standing in one spot for a while doesn't make things feel any better.
I'm really missing being on the water!
