As I sit and ponder over what to post, I think of the past and how topics change. I saw many faces that took me back, one of the faces I saw put a smile on mine. His face had a burly mustache, grayer now than when I’d first met him years ago, yesterday he was passing out bottles of Slab Sauce. You guessed it, BillBob. A few faces I saw had to remind of their name. Past years the topic was, the spawn over the last three years and the outlook for spring fishing. The hot topic this year was Asian Carp and how their presence not only ruins our fishing but also the local economy. But wait, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. Commercial fishing for the carp has been given a boost of additional money per pound when brought to market by State Government, mechanics being utilized around the dams to help drive back the carp from entering the lakes, research making headway on more uses for the carp once harvested. We now have a website setup (help me out Doug, I’ve forgot its name. Can you post a link) where we can donate to the research to get rid of our demon.
For the things that haven’t changed, the love of our passion, fellowship, giveaways, and last but not least, FOOD!!
Thanks to all for a Great Day
