Everyone, Joseph Zimmerman, with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources, asked that I post this information.

The fisheries division of the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources recently completed the first phase of a large scale fish habitat project on Barren River Lake. Several volunteers including local anglers, Backcountry hunters and anglers, and the Great Onyx Job Corps helped out during the multi-day effort. Hundreds of structures were placed throughout lower Peters Creek. Habitat included large cedar trees, PVC trees, rock and Mossback fish attractor structures. Overall, 14 sites were created on the flats, main lake points and secondary pockets. Check out the attached side scan imagery of two of the sites. Planning and staging for the next phase will be starting this fall.

Russ Ayers and I fished a few of those sites this morning and located some willing biters. Attachment 355115
