Nice catch...thanks for leaving a few for me! I was at the
Douglas Lake fish fry with some fine folks...but hope to hit
the Bar on Wed. Sorry you had to fish instead of eating
some great fish n fries with us!

Looks like Watts Bar should be on my list of places to go in next few weeks. Also looks like you had a great trip and of course the weather this past weekend was perfect.

    Default lodging at Watts Bar.

    Thanks for posting the pictures.

Would you mind giving out the lodge you use when going to Watts Bar? My wife and I are thinking of going there. I looked at some cabins from a couple of internet sites in the Spring City area--would like your recommendation if you have a preference.

    Thanks.

    Thanks.
We stayed at Arrowhead Resort. We rented a one room "efficiency" motel room. This had two double beds, small fridge, TV, Microwave, coffee maker, table/chairs, limited eating utensils/dishes, full bath, sink, heat/air, and towels/wash cloths provided. The rate is $70/day. We also rented a covered slip (w/elec hookup) @ $10/day. There's a restaurant on site, and the food is good.
The only "single bed" lodging they have, is the one bedroom "cabin" ... which has a single Queen size bed, bath, full kitchen/living & dining room ... which rents for $95/day.
The boat ramp at Arrowhead is one of the better ones in that area of the lake (mid lake).

I've stayed at several "other" places ... and for the money, and conveniences provided, Arrowhead is comparable in price and the lodging facilities are in much better shape.

Arrowhead & Eden are the only places I've stayed, on that side of the lake. The ramp and on site restaurant of Arrowhead, and the comparable pricing of lodging facilities, would lend me to lean more towards Arrowhead. I've stayed at several places, on the other side of the lake, but prefer Arrowhead ... due mostly to the fact that Arrowhead's location is worth the extra 30-45min drive (the "other side of the lake" places are in small bays, with limited fishing spots ... whereas, Arrowhead is in the back of one of three connecting large creeks, with greater fishing potential, in a shorter boat trip).

If you haven't already checked it out, here's their website : http://www.arrowheadresort.com/resort.html

    Default lodging

    Thanks for all your information.

I know I wished I had gotten some input from other fishermen here at crappie.com a few years back when I took my wife to Weiss for a week. May be payin' for that little episode for the rest of my life. The "cabin" we had there was none to inhabitable.

I appreciate all of the help you have given on other posts throughout the years, too.
