    Default Green or T-Ville

Anyone been fishing either of these lakes at night lately? Gonna plan a trip just wondering if anything was happening? As always thanks and God Bless

Have fished tville a couple times a week for the last 3 weeks. Have done pretty good out of chowning ln. Best times have been 1 to 4 a m. Most trips I can get 10-12 nice fish with plenty of shorts in between to keep from getting bored. I will tell you this, two weeks ago on a Tuesday night someone stole the battery out of my truck at chowning ln and buggered up my hood doing it. There were other vehicles but don’t know if anyone else was hit. Minnows mostly but jigs have worked and jigs tipped with minnows. Most my fish come from the channel at the bend between van buren and chowning. Good luck.

Sourmash .... If I remember correctly, there was some vandalism of that nature going on at the Chowning ramp before. May have been several years back, but still ... that sucks !! That's the main reason I pass right by the cutoff road to Chowning & put in at Settlers Trace most of the time.

Well, I try to minimize the running time at night as I’m old as dirt now with no eyesight and slow reflexes. I have looked at van buren but I don’t think there would be any difference. The fishing has been too good to stay away so I just hope for the best. Cost me $1016.00 to get the hood fixed and new battery. It does suck.

Haven’t been fishing in forever so don’t know about that. But I know the vandalism is terrible at chowning and personally only use that ramp during busy times and daylight hours to minimize risk

They had to make some serious noise. Hood pried open hook bent back flat like a big hammer was involved but I didn’t hear anything and I was just out of sight most of the night. Wasn’t far from the ramp at all. The next week fish and wildlife checked me and I made mention of it but they hadn’t any reported problems there. Had to have everything from the hood cable forward fixed. Was without my truck for 7 days.

Thanks for the report, sure sorry about the break in though, it seems to happen more and more. I may give T-Ville a shot, sure had some great trips there this spring.

I came upon you guys several times in the spring. It’s all those same areas just on some nights a bit deeper than spring. Good luck to you if you go.

We exchanged greetings once. I give people their space. We can all fish there without fishing on top of each other. So, did you find that the lake had the best crappie fishing this spring since it opened to the public.
