Default Memorial day weekend trip options

I'm considering Kentucky Lake for the memorial day weekend. Unfortunately, its the next weekend I'll have off, so its as soon as I could go somewhere. Too bad I can't get this or next weekend off, but no can do. Anyway, I'm looking for any other suggestions that may increase my success of finding some decent crappie. Targeting the bass is in the plans too, but crappie are what I'd like to focus on. People I've talked with seem to think Kenlake is my best bet. Never been there, but gotta try it sooner or later anyway. Any suggestions??

DTG is right. Boats will be blowing you off the water. If you go, get out before sun up and maybe you can get some good hours in before the boats all get out there. I would personally hang lanterns and fish at night for the crappie. I believe you would have better chances at catching them that late in the season and with ll the boat traffic out on the water. Just remember, no matter what you catch, it will be better then sitting at home doing nothing.

Hey thanks for the info. The ski crowd is not my favorite, but its something I'll have to deal with I guess. Would Barkley be a better try?

Maybe a little better but not much. It is just a busy weekend but it beats sitting at home.
