Scouting at the Cave paid off
Well fellows after a couple trips to Cave Run Lake this summer, with minimal success compared to my usual trips there, I decided to head up on Wednesday morning to find some bigger fish didn't even had a rod in the boat. When daylight broke we were on the water searching, finally we found two good spots with some good size fish according to helix 7. So last night we went back to try to set some hooks. Although the fish were still there tight to structure they were even tighter lipped, I assume from all the heavy boat traffic and unstable water levels. We did finally find that monkey milk, and green glitter sliders was more temptation than the big ones could take, spider rigging in 20 to 23 fow, fish were 8 to 12 feet deep, ended the night with 37 nice fish. Wonderful night to be out with the family and a nice mess of fish. Thanks for reading and God Bless
