Taylorsville or Cave Run
Ok, summertime. I need opinions on which lake would be the best to catch some decent Bluegill/Crappie in the 'Timber' areas of either lake. I usually head out with minnows and wax worms. I try the crappie for a while, if no luck, I switch to Bluegill fishing, hoping to catch something over 6". The standing/broke off timber seems to be good during the summer at Taylorsville for Bluegill during the summer season. Don't know about Cave Run, not been there for 20 years, but I think there are still some standing timber areas in the lake. So, if you wanted to try Crappie/Bluegill fishing, which lake would you head for?. I know the weekends are basically out of the question, due the boat traffic and congestion at every ramp, but would go during Mon-Friday. I fish either with slip bobbers or drop shot rig over the side of the boat.
