Why would a person run the square bill vs running the pico perch? Or vice versa?

These square bill baits only have a knocker in them , so they sound a little different. The perch will sink too, whereas the sq Bill's float. Highly buoyant.

Have the square bills been shipped out to bait shops yet or are they still only available through online purchase? Wondering if Fast Eddie's near Benton KY has them yet.
They are aware they are in the catalog and available. I've done everything but buy them myself and stock the shelves.

M R Dux, What rods do you use? Seems like a 4-5 oz weight will require a rod with a LOT of backbone. Thanks!
