I caught a lot out of Blood River this year all ready. Next thought is Rough River but I haven't heard how the fishing is going or how the water level is. I really don't feel like replacing my lower unit this year, but it is a fairly close drive. Final choice is probably Taylorsville. I have killed that lake this year but the 15 keeper only deal kills me. I was done a few weeks ago in an hour and a half. The drive is real close obviosly. The weather will be perfect. Might even get the wife into a swimsuit for a better view, but haven't got a clue where to go. Any suggestions?
Forget about Taylorsville Lake ... that rain put it 5ft over Summer Pool
It won't be much for a week or so.
Have you given any thought to Green River Lake ?? It's at Summer Pool, and this warming trend may start them back to the banks.
Which reminds me ...... ALWAYS check here : http://www.lrl.usace.army.mil/wc/reports/lkreport.html : before you head out to T-ville, Rough, Green, Nolin, or Barren ... just to get a water level check
You can also click on the current water level numbers (in blue) and it will take you to a chart, showing the past year's water level fluctuations, and the rainfall amounts that caused them, plus the outflow rates that were used to rectify the situation. Good info, updated daily !!

Don't feel bad about the 15fish/person/day creel, on Taylorsville. It's too small to have a bigger creel law. And no one says you have to "stop" fishing, once you've caught a limit :p ... you just have to stop "keeping" :D
