    Default Kentucky Lake

Didn't do hardly anything today. How did anyone else do. If you were successful, what did you do. I only caught 8 keepers all do. They were huge keepers but this is the worse I have ever done on Kentucky Lake. Did catch a 3/4 lb shellcracker. That was the largest I ever caught. Now we got serious wind coming in tomorrow so I am up a creek I believe.

Everything seems perfect. Any guess why it was so bad.

    Jigboy,
Did you fish Blood River today? Just interested 'cause I'm headin that way next weekend and wondered how you did. Sorry, buddy. Know how disappointing that is. Maybe you'll catch 'um tomorrow and they'll be wrong about the winds! I fished Percy Priest a litttle while this afternoon, caught only one, but water was COLD and I do mean COLD. Beautiful day though and just enjoyed being out....

Unhappy I thought it was just me

I went yesterday also and like you guys, thought it was gonna be the perfect day. They missed the forcast on the wind. It was suposed to be 5 to 10 out of the south but all I saw was a high barometer and east winds all day. I caught several fish but could only manage 5 keepers. Sorry you didn't have a better day jigboy, I know you had several miles invested in your trip. Hope you get into the fish next time. Well I'm gonna go lick my wounds! Later.

Another bad day today. Only managed five keeper crappie and maybe four large shellcrackers. Had a great weekend with the wife but that is about it. I am hoping to go somewhere the week of Derby. Now looking forward to my annual fishing trip to Lake Erie for smallmouth this summer. Looking forward to some lantern crappie soon.

Fished most of the day Sat. and only caught 33 crappie w/ 14 keepers (BIG KEEPERS w/ some well over 2 lbs). I was apparently fishing too deep as I spent almost all day fishing 7 to 12' and caught all my keepers in the last couple hours 3' to 5' in the backs of the bays. At least it was a beautiful day, but I did much better when I couldn't feel my hands last week. Well guys it has been fun and the freezer is full, but I'm hanging up the crappie poles for the year.........bass better watch out! Crazy weather, but this is the best crappie season I've ever had on KY lake and last year was awful good.

A buddy and I fished saturday and ended up keeping 38. Found them in 5-6ft of water holding tight to cover. They were hitting jigs tipped with minnows. All but 3 or 4 were females.
