    Default Guist Creek

Went to Guist creek yesterday and had a great day. I caught @ 25 crappie on minnows and jigs and kept 10. Most were caught at 6-8’ in 10-12’ of water. Had a lot of 8-9” fish but did catch my personal best at 14.75”! I was also casting a chartreuse curly tail jig on a flat hoping for some Saugeye but caught a mixture of hybrid (a couple close to 5lb), white and yellow bass. Great day on the water and was able to avoid all shoppers 😅
Thanks Quailtail thanked you for this post

Sounds like you had a great day? Congrats on your personal best. That’s exciting. Did you take a picture of the 14+” Crappie? If so, I’d love to see it.

I do have a picture after I finished cleaning but I was by myself and didn’t get one before. Can someone explain how to attach a picture?

Easy way to post pictures from your computer. You can change your "Setting" (upper right corner) to use the WYSIWYG editor which allows you to more quickly upload pics.

Go to: "Setting" (upper right corner)
Click on "General Settings" (left side, middle of My Settings box)

Go to bottom of page and select:

    • Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing

Then after you have changed your settings here is what you do ,go make a post...... above your post window there are some icons -- the square looking one, third from the right should say Insert Image when your cursor is on it. That's the one you want to use if posting pics from a computer.

Once you click on "insert image", then the box pops up that has the words "insert image" at the top, as the title. Just under the words "insert image" at the top are 2 tabs (choices). One tab is "my computer" and next to it is a tab that says "From URL". If the picture is on your computer, make sure and click on the "my computer" tab (if should turn grey if selected) then click on the "choose file" button that shows up. Then select your pic, click "open" .... then click upload .... the pic should then show up in this message box.

    An extra "tip" ....
Hit your "Enter" button once or twice BEFORE or AFTER placing a pic in your message, so your picture is separated from your message text.

(posting from your phone ... use the paperclip (attachment) icon. But, also be aware that some phones have an orientation code that this site does not recognize, so the site will turn the pics 1/4 turn to the left. Changing their orientation in your phone, or downloading them to your computer & changing the orientation there may still not work. Best way to insure pics come out correctly oriented is to take the pics you want to post on here with your phone turned 1/4 turn to your right. You can easily find out if your phone is one of these, by going to the TESTING AREA forum and try posting a trial pic in there.)

Feel free to PM me for questions or further help in posting pics (unless you're using an iPhone, then you may have to contact someone else)

Thank you for the picture. I haven’t gotten to go in a while and it’s killing me. I’ve turned to this forum, YouTube, & occasional tv to help until I get to go again. I’m planning a winter trip to Okeechobee. On a side note, it’s awesome to see the help offered from the Crappie.com members when it’s requested. I’m partial but think that Crappie fishermen are the best.
