    Default Boat Loving Crappie

I'm always surprised what may work, you all will appreciate this.
My son and I was fishing a private quarry lake and the only way we could catch
them was by pulling jigs directly behind the boat only several ft away and on
the highest trolling motor speed, which is quite fast.
Casting the same area all different speeds and presentations didn't work.
The boat was definitely attracting them.
The jig had to be behind the boat in the ripples the boat was leaving and close to the surface.
Go figure! We were catching them like crazy, I had to switch to one rod they were hitting so good.
At times my jig was only a foot deep.
