Went fishing last nite from 5:30-7:30 pm. Caught around 45 crappie. What was surprising is that we caught 15 nice ones between 9.5"-12". All fish were caught throwing 1/16 oz. chartreuse, white curly tail grubs and roadrunners. The water temps were from 64-66 degrees, water was stained to muddy. The fish were shallow, in 4-8' of water around laydowns and some just in open areas. This lake normally does not produce larger crappie. Mostly 6-8". All were caught and released. Had fun for the first time out this year.
