It's kinda hard to win 4 Championships in 8yrs, considering the one and done effect. But, still ... no other coach has won 4 titles in their first 8yrs at a school, either, so does that make them "average coaches" ?? Remember, he's taking fresh out of high school players and making a winning team out of them, and has FAR more NBA draft picks than anyone else. For all the "other" high end college basketball programs, it's probably a good thing that the ball players we've had didn't stay for 4yrs ... jus sayin'

I'm not a fan of the one and done basketball and what it has done to college ball, that being said it is what it is.

It looks to me that the South region is a lot more doable now with the top three seeds out.

On the pay for play thing, I'm not picking up any rocks to throw, heck my house doesn't have a window left. :Rofl

There were no allegations made against Calipari by the NCAA ... so there was no "lying" necessary on his part. If Memphis was so concerned that he had a part in the situation, they'd have fired him .... just like Louisville did Pitino. And he'd have likely ended up at KY, anyway. We were suffering from Gillespie's actions, and would have taken a local middle school coach rather than keep him. And if he's just an "average" coach ... how did he manage to put Memphis on the record board ??

Well it didn’t come out until he left for Kentucky, so Memphis couldn’t do anything to him about it. He got out Scott free and left Memphis to deal with the ncaa. Memphis got punished and he got nothing. He should had won a championship with Memphis, but he didn’t know how to call a timeout. He also should had won a championship with his UMass team, which was his first team to be sanctioned by the NCAA. And, this year isn’t up, and he should slide on into the final four easily now, but in 8 years with the teams he has had, Coach K would have won at least 2-3 titles at Kentucky. It’s a farce that he is in the hof. No coach with two schools having to vacate wins and seasons should be in the hof.
