I live in Illinois on a small lake on a channel. I have a two horse old pontoon and mechanic said the pontoons have electrolysis. At first i thought it was zebra muscles a closer look showed little holes in the pontoon. I figure this problem is more common down your way with big lakes and marinas.

Is there a tool to measure water for electcity to see where it gets stronger to find the problem? Local mechanic in area said only boats in my channel have the problem
