Paris Landing!!! First Timers - Father & Son!!!
Hey Crappie Lovers!!! A friend of mine suggested this site for me to get some help for a father/son trip we are on March 16 and 17. I am fishing with a good friend tomorrow morning so I'll get a some first hand help - but I would like any help possible to make the a great trip. Also would like to consider a guide trip for Saturday (17th). Where to fish, what to use, when to go ... all details would be appreciated!!! Thanks.

My son and I just returned from fishing Big Sandy on Tuesday and Wednesday. We were catching some pretty good fish. This cold front might slow things just a bit, but you should still be able to catch them. If your thinking about a guide I recommend going with Richard Williams. He lives right there in Paris. A couple of years ago I booked a trip with him for my son and I and we had a ball. My son caught his first 2lb Crappie on the trip. Richard doesn't mind sharing his knowledge and is fun to fish with. Give him a call (731) 336-3550. For accomodations Fish Tail Lodge is really nice. It's boat friendly and is right at the lake. (731)642-7113. Everybody has their own opinion about their favorite Crappie Lake, Kentucky Lake/Big Sandy is mine.

OH MY ... the wind here is BRUTAL!!! But any day fishing is a great day. We hit the lake early this AM and did struggle with the wind the entire day. We found a few spots and caught about 15 nice crappie today. Gonna try it again in the morning. Felt like this cold spell has caused the fish to become tight lipped. Hopefully tomorrow is a little more exciting but it was still a Super Fantastic Day!!!
By the Way ... My Son out fished me today!!! YEA!!!]
