Maybe you could just attach a strap & velcro strip setup like mine came with :

It originally came with a strap & button setup (like the seats have), but a velcro strip was added by one of the previous owners. If I don't press the velcro strips together, it will fly open going down the road.

Pappy, that can't be a real crappie boat in that picture. My boat was a bigger mess the day Excel delivered it to me than the boat in that pic.
