My son and I fished that tagging tournament this weekend. We caught most of our fish in 3-6 feet of water. We put 33 in the boat. Watched a couple in a jon boat next to us casting the bank with a jig under a bobber and they were wearing them out.

I think it was around 32 lbs. Thats for 30 fish. Big fish was 2.6. Second big fish was 2.3. We fished Big Bear.
The only way to have a good fishing spot is to make it yourself!
