Spend the day on Grayson lake yesterday. Fished the first half of the day fishing with a buddy from high school and the second half of the day fishing wth my momma. It was a great day. Beautiful, not too much boat traffic, and I even took a swim (on purpose, I promise). Caught a lot of crappie, but as is normal for Grayson, most were small. Caught probably 40 crappie, only 1 was 10 inches. The rest were between 6-8 inches. Fish were caught on live minnows on a hook with a 1/4 oz splitshot about 10 inches up the line. Cast next to the bank, work it back really slow and wait for the line to get heavy. Lost 1 big fish at the end of the day, guessing it was catfish, but guess I'll never go. Either way it was an awesome day on the water.
