    Default Guist Creek Lake

Hello everyone, My wife and I just got our first boat and have been fishing Guist every week. For the last month or so we haven't found any crappie. We usually find about 15 keeper gills during the search. My electronics don't seem to spot them or my jigs. We have tried everything, pushing/pulling cranks, spider rigging, and bobbers set everywhere from 5 to 10 feet. I don't think we have caught any since the spawn. Has anyone else had luck there?

    to Crappie.com !!

I haven't fished Guist Creek Lake in many years, but when I did I never caught any Crappie of any size.

Have you considered fishing at Taylorsville Lake ?? (especially if you can go during the week)

We were catching the crappie in the 10 to 13" range at Guist before they hid on us. The first two times I had my boat out for break in, I went to Taylorsville. I couldn't find the fish, only the submerged stumps everywhere. The first trip I got hung up twice and the boat was no longer a pristine craft...Lol. The second time I broke the transducer off and neither time did I get a fish in the boat. So, that's when we decided to try Guist for our short day trips. We are going to try again next week if the rain is gone, hopefully we can land a few.
