    Default Barkley 6/8/17

From the looks of the forecast today might have been the last day we have with a high in the seventies, it looks like summer is coming. Thankful to be off and be able to enjoy it. Was actually a little cool starting out, could have used a jacket that first run up the lake. Spent most of the morning scouting a bay I haven't spent much time in, the action wasn't as fast as yesterday but it was productive. Better than half my limit came from the sort of new area. Overall fish didn't seem quite as aggressive, water temps had dipped as low as 73 in spots early. Several light biters today and also lost several fish, stark contrast to yesterday. Some fish starting to show on top of some of the deeper ledges today, haven't seen much of that since prespawn. All in all another wonderful day on Barkley.

Not sure what is going on down there, they have to come back eventually, it won't be the dead sea forever surely.

Good job Austin! I tried pushing cranks Tuesday morning, caught 10 good ones over brush along the creek channels before the northeast wind got up.
