Glad y'all made it. The infamous traveling coffee thermos. You need to start putting state stickers on it like rv goers.

And this is Green River Lake crappie ...

(We did catch a few 12-13" fish but it sure feels weird keeping 9" fish coming from KY Lake 10" minimum) ...

This was my 1st chance to troll cranks in water up to 50 feet deep. Looking at lake maps, I had little idea where to start. Luckily Adam (Dutch 522) had fished the lake several times and pointed Rickie and I in the right direction. Of course I started out on ledges but when we started catching good numbers of keepers on flats (25-40 feet deep), that where we ended up concentrating our efforts.

We were disappointed not catching any walleye or muskies (Adam did catch an 18 1/2" musky). Saturday I got onto a channel cat pattern and we took 6 NICE channels to the cleaning station for the fish fry. Catching channels 15 feet deep over 35-40 feet of water was something different. Fishing Green and keeping over 60 keepers in 2 days gave me a lot of confidence to look to other areas on KY and Barkley to run the cranks.

Saturday Rickie and I were into so many fish, we rarely reached for the net. We had a livewell packed and started not even measuring a fish. We caught no telling how many 9-9 1/2 inch fish that we just tossed back without even keeping count.

Green is a beautiful lake with many rock walls and some awesome formations. We all had a large time.
