Default Another day at Taylorsville Lake

We got on the water at 8:00am. Started near the marina and caught a bunch of dinks. Made a move to Briar Ridge and started slow with more dinks. At 10:00 it turned on. Caught 25 by 12:30 and had to head home. Almost no more small one after 10:00. Caught 5 pretty darn nice ones like some from past years. Most in the 10" range.

Long line trolling like normal. Running jiffy jigs at 3'. Water temp went to 70 by time we left. Overall a good day. New sonar and side scan working perfect now and Motorguide trolling motor was just as great. Nothing like having new updated good equipment. All my stuff was 19 years old so it was definately time.

Yes my jigs were running 3 feet. Most fish were near the bank.

We fished Taylorsville yesterday but found most of our fish 10 to 12 ft deep in 20ft or better water. Fished up past the dam. A lot of short fish caught but got a limit of 10" fish with a couple in the 12 inch range. Spider rigging with minnows. Caught several of those wild hybirds too.
