I guess this discussion is a little misleading from me, I don't fish for spawning fish or even look for fish shallower than 13-17' depending on what area of which lake I am on. When I say "spawn is over" I am really just meaning the end of schooling action from prespawn fish in mid to deep water. Normally around the first to second week of May on the north end of the lakes. Its not the end of the world but I chase them every week 12 monthes a year and those couple weeks of recovery are my least favorite of the year.Quote:
