Don't know were yatesville lake is but I'm glad you got to go fishing with your mom. It was a beautiful day to be out besides the wind. Hopefully next time you and her can catch a boat load.

Fished yatesville today with my momma. Did more exploring and tinkering with the boat than we did fishing, but still had a great day. The crappie didn't bite at all today. Tried spinners, vertice jigging standing timber and bobber fishing around brush piles. No luck. Water was definently up since the last time I was there. The dock at greenbrier creek was actually usable today.
Water was muddy from all the recent rain. Temp was 56*-58* according to the garmin.
Hoping for better luck In the weeks to come. Found a lot of good structure and places to revisit. Unfortunately the garmin striker with gps got disconnected from power and I wasn't sure which connected the lose wire came from soni didn't try reconnecting it. Therefore, I had no gps today and couldn't mark any of the spots I found lol. Guess I'll have to go back and fish them again! Oh darn... lol
Anyway, I hope whoever reads this enjoys it and can use the information.
Good luck everyone!
Jesse

The other end of the state right on the Kentucky Tennessee line. Its all in Tennessee except part of the refuge. You are probably 6 or 7 hours from there.
It is what it is!
Great post and pics!
