    Default Green River help

Hi, we're planning on visiting the green river for the first time in late March for my Daughter's spring break. We're planning on staying in one of the floating cabins at Green River marina. Going fi trying to the Crappie out a few days while we're there. I have a few questions:
    1) Is this a shallow river? How difficult is it to navigate in a large bass boat?
    2) how do most people crappie fish on this river? Natural cover? Stake beds? Lay downs off the bank? Casting or jigging?
    3) Is there an area of the river that that is known for holding more crappie than others?

My home lake is Kentucky Lake (South end) and if you're willing to help me out I'd be glad to provide some info on KY lake if needed now or later.

    Thanks
    Shawn
