Went to a creek/backwater off the Ohio river after work. Did pretty well. 1 spotted bass, 1 largemouth. Both over 2 pounds. 1 decent crappie. And a really big drum. I'm guessing 5-7 pounds. Really suprised me. I've never had any luck fishing this spot before, but I read on the state fishing forecast that backwater from the river is supposed to have an excellent crappie population. So I figured I'd give it a shot. I went a little way father upstream from where the creek meets the river and was met with several nice fish and a couple more that got away. All fish were caught in a black roadrunner curly tail with a silver blade and chartreuse head tipped with chartreuse crappie bites
