    Default Barkley 2/6/17

Water temps were 3-4 degrees cooler and the lake was a bit lower than my last report 10 days or so ago. Fish didn't seem to want to leave the deep side of the humps, drops, and points and were holding quite a bit tighter to wood on the area I was on. Nice mess of fish from 20-30fow.

Nice catch! I got skunked yesterday on Barkley after we caught a double limit on Ky the day before. I didn't try any deeper than 16'. Were you on the main lake? I don't know of any bays over 20' this time of year.

Alot of those fish were from the main lake but most(not all) of the bays on the north end have at least a little bit of water deeper than 20ft at winter pool.

Thank you for sharing that info, my generation grew up not giving up any information or lying when they did say anything. It's hard for me to get it through my thick head that crappie can be caught in water that deep. I haven't fished out toward the mouth of bays or the main lake, obviously I am missing out.
