Anyone fish lake Cumberland?
Does anyone ever fish lake Cumberland? If so which parts of lake? I fish Caney, Wolf, Lily creek areas. What baits, colors, sizes work best for you?

Yep, since 1960, fished every bit of it at one time or another.
Mostly between Conley Bottoms and Burnside now.
Started back Crappie fishing last year
Minnows and small jigs w/plastic chartreuse, pearl and monkey milk

well, before the water came up 10 feet in the past week, I was catching them shallow in those areas fishing standing brush, between 2 and 6 foot deep. Now it's anybody's guess where they are at. The water temp hasn't pushed them to there deep spots and they have moved out of the brush.

d a few small ones in the cast net Tues.
They were with small shad that had moved into newly flooded areas. 5-7,
.
Usually when water temp gets a little lower they move into areas where small threadfin shad are, about 1' deep on sunny banks
On sunny days they move very shallow, the water is a bit warmer

Had been doing pretty good in areas you mentioned until Monday. Water came up and wind. Few short fish and that was it.

Cumberland's a mess now, 13' rise and muddy
Until they start generating around the clock and pull the muddy water out of the creeks fishing will be slow in the creeks.
Stripers and smallmouth can still be found on the lower main lake areas

Fished this evening near Alligator #2 about 2 hours, caught 6 short and one keeper.
