    Default Green River 9/23

I decided to take a break from deer hunting and get the boat wet and made the trip to GR. We got a late start and did not get on the water until 9:30. So I put in on the North side of the lake. I have not fished that part much. Water temperature was 82 with a little color to it. The plan was to fish some of the brush piles. We did that till around noon with not much to show for it but 1 short and 2 green bass and a 14'' brown bass. Put the jigs up and got the cranks out and started pulling flats and ended up with 15 with 4 or 5 keepers. It was not I was hopping for but it was nice to be back on the water chasing crappie.

Thanks for the report. Was you fishing around Emerald Isle Marina end or Holmes bend end? I have heard some good reports the last week or so and with the cold front we got today they should be turning on.
