Bad deal, glad your feeling somewhat better!
Never had veritgo but had inner ear surgery for Chlosteatoma and was told it was pretty much the same effects and it was no fun so I can only imagine.
Take care of yourself and post up if ya need anything.

My wife had something similar, but not so severe. There are "stones" in the inner ear that can really mess you up if they get in the wrong place ..... being that there are several canals, and the stones in any of the canals can be causing the problem, totally correcting the problem can be very complicated.
We got lucky and got her to a physical therapist who specialized in correcting this. By moving her around in different positions he was able to tell which inner ear canal was affected....and therefore, which specific series of movements were required to resolve the problem. She had to do 3 sessions and was 80% better after the first.
Bottom line.... if you doesn't resolve itself 100% .... try to find someone who specializes in this and knows what they are doing ..... It is very complex to get this right.

I hope you get better soon. This sounds like a real PITA, and scary to boot. Praying for ya.

Scary stuff, Doug. Hope you get it resolved soon.

Been there done that with the vertigo... I thought I surely must have had a stroke or something... but not as severe as in your case as for the sickness and vomiting. The Doctor in my case treated it with a drug called hemlock... yes a natural poison. It took me a couple of weeks to get over it... but yes you're right... it is surely misery at it's finest form.

Hope you get on your feet soon buddy. Fall shin dig be here before you know it.

Doug, God bless you. I understand what you experienced. I have Meniere's Disease. There is no cure. This is why I quit attending most c.com camps.

Thanks everybody. I'm much better than last weekend but no where near 100%. Sitting I'm fine but I'm still walking sideways a bit when on my feet. One thing I have to look at as a positive is the fact that in a week and 1/2 up until Monday, I had lost 15 pounds. Of course I could stand to lose a bunch more and really don't see my situation as an option for somebody who is looking for a weight-loss plan, but as bad as I've felt I have to look at that as a small positive.
