Default Interactive Map of KY Fishing & Hunting sites

Visitors coming to Kentucky might enjoy this Commonwealth map provided by KY Dept. of Fish & Wildlife:

    http://kygeonet.ky.gov/kdfwr/viewer.htm

Zooming into a selected area results in shaded relief topographic maps; continuing to zoom in will reveal the latest color leaf-on aerial photography of your area of interest. One 'layer' of the map indicates boat ramps and bank fishing opportunities.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

I cannot get the map to load. How do I sign up to get it to open?
But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Must be a glitch in the server that just occurred today, because the site has never before required a username and password. This map site, along with a similar one for State Parks - as well as a general KY map - has been up and running for a long time now.

Just check back in a day or two and hopefully the problem will be corrected. Sorry you're having problems connecting, and glad to see a TN neighbor utilizing this great (and free!) map service. It must have caught something from the recent crappie.com blackout!

That's weird. It worked fine this morning for me but it's requiring a log on now. Must be a glitch with the site huh.

    Default Map.

Glad to know it is just not letting me on because I am from Tn. :D I will check again daily. I love maps. I fish Barkley whenever I get a chance.

The map viewer is working properly today.

If you haven't used this map before it will require a bit of learning to use all the controls, but two very nice ones are:

    1. The FindXY button tool that allows you to input lat/long and it will place a point on the map for that location.

    2. Similarly, there is the Point Locator button tool that permits you to click any place on the map and it will return the coordinates for that point.

Check it out; there are many, many valuable features on it.
