Default Great Experience catching Big Red Ear and Bluegill on North Barkley Today

Had a great time today on Barkley with a great guide! Would like to thank Doug Wynn with Crappies-gills-n-more Guide Service. Very knowledgable, very reasonable, nice boat, and very friendly! Thanks Doug we had a great time catching some very nice fish, not sure how to post pics yet being newbie on here.

If you become as good at posting pictures as you were at choosing a guide, you'll be a pro in no time.

It was great fishing with you guys today. We didn't have the greatest of conditions but maybe I was able to send you guys home with some fillets, memories, and some tips you can use later.

Bill's fish in the bottom pic was a solid 2 pound female if it was an ounce. The bays on north Barkley are still in the mid to high 60s. I have no idea where the big bull bluegills are hiding. Maybe a few warm days and this full moon will change things.

It is always a pleasure fishing with good fishermen who are eager to learn a new trick or two.

Darn fine fish! I've been catching a few these last couple days, full moon helps a lot IMO.

I thought that might come up. You know what my decision would be. I let the clients make their own decisions and I live with it.
