    Default Kentucky Lake 5/3/16

First time I have had the chance to fish in three weeks, nice to finally get back out there even if the fish didn't cooperate. Went further south than I should have, but I love the area. Only wound up with 9, all but one had already dropped all their eggs. Pretty tough bite, most of these fish were holding 17-18ft deep in 25fow. The lone girl that still had eggs came from 13fow, but that was the only bite I got shallower and it wasn't for lack of trying.

Well that is great news. The bite is tough and you seem to always catch something. I am assuming that is your boat?

Yeah it is my boat, first time I have got to fish out of it. Hard to get used to not needing to be on trolling motor all the time, but I think I am going to like it.

As far as the bite goes, I was a little surprised to see they were mostly spawned out in that area but it is what it is I guess. I am sure there are some more somewhere on the lakes that aren't done yet but I couldn't find them where I was.

It's a scary thing when Austin has trouble finding fish ...

Ky and Barkley lake have changed from yesteryears ...
