I'm going to taylorsville lake Sunday the 7th. Has anyone been lately. What does the water look like? Can I put in at settlers boat ramp?

Lake is 2.7ft above Summer Pool and falling (being drawn back down) ... so I don't think you'd have any trouble launching at "any" of the ramps. Normally speaking, the only time you cannot launch at Taylorsville ramps, is when the lake floods ... Winter Pool is only 2ft lower than Summer Pool, so the ramps are always usable, except when flooded.

A couple of inches of rain recently raised the lake by ~5ft .... so I'd expect the water to be a bit on the colored side (dingy to dirty) around the banks & back in the creeks (& up river).

But I will have to confess that I'm only speculating ... based on this COE chart : http://lrl-apps.lrl.usace.army.mil/w...plots/tvl.html

I haven't seen it but it was described to me today as muddy by a friend who's been out the last 2 days.

Went by tonight on way to work. Muddy and they are pulling it fairly hard. Good luck and give us a report.

Water was like chocolate milk. Never had a bite. Didn't fish much. But I did a lot of scouting.

The lake was muddy 3/9/16 but the parking lot at Settlers Trace was half full of empty boat trailers. We dont want to miss spring crappie and are hoping it get a little clearer
before we go out. We have done well there once we switched over to crappie jigs. Since we live close we will just do a day before inspection. I know they say fish have to eat even in
muddy water so its probably more for us than the fish.
