Just saw the prayer post that Dux posted on my behalf and wanted to touch base and let yall know how much I appreciate all the prayers and well wishes and let y'all know what happened and how I'm doing.
I caught the boat on Nov. 30 and was feeling fine. I was scheduled to get off that boat and go to my regular boat on Dec. 2.
I got off watch on Wed. morning at 0530 and I felt fine. I ate a little breakfast and went upstairs to my room to catch a little nap before crew change. By the time I laid down I was shivering so bad I couldn't sleep. That went on till they got me up at 1000 for crew change. I was so weak and dizzy I couldn't hold my head up.
When we got to Paducah they took me straight to the Dr and they thought I had a Kidney stone and sent me over to the Lourdes Emergency Rm. They ran some tests and took some blood and prescribed me some meds and sent me home where I had a terrible night!
The next morning the Hospital called and said for me to not drag my feet and get down there RIGHT NOW!
To make a long story short I have a very aggressive bacterial infection of the blood that coulda cashed my ticket.
I'm home and on the mend.
Thanks for the prayer. See y'all on the water soon!![]()
