Taylorsville report

You guys basically taught me how to long line troll by reading this site I thought I should participate. This is one of the best groups on the net on any topic. I really appreciate ya'll.
So here goes..I took my two boys to Taylorsville yesterday,11/25. We left the ramp around noon and loaded up a little after 4. We were on fish all day. Water was a little stained I guess from the wind,which was a little off the forcasted 6to 8,we had maybe 12-15. Water temp was 53. Caught fish on main lake cover. I usually like lay downs on this lake but most of our fish came off standing timber. All that standing timber on the lake frustrates me. There is so much of it I never know where to fish.
Fish were in 12/20 fow holding about 5-8ft.
I had one lay down the fish were really piled up on but I just couldn't keep us on it because of the wind,it was really roaring down through there.
The boys were casting 1/16oz jigs with a 2 in Charlie Brewer paddle tail body. Blue with a yellow tail. They reported an aggressive bite,I was throwing a generic red w chartreuse curly tail with sparkles. 1 1/2 long. My bites were pretty light.
We kept 25 with about 10 shorts. We also threw back a half dozen keepers towards the end. We had 3 or 4 12 inchers and 3 or 4 11 inchers and the rest 10.
We got the boat hooked up gonna try em tomorrow morning ahead of the rain.
Just a really great day on the lake.
