Didn't get to fish last weekend. Friday was the best day and I had to get the leaves out of the yard.
I don't do the contest stuff but I really like the Bobby Garland baits. A couple of Kentucky lake guys showed them to me years ago and that's what I use the most.
I like the stroll'R baits for spider rigging I use the baby shad and the minnow minders for vertical jigging.
This computer is about to die it's running way too slow to try to up load some pictures. But last spring we caught several 14'' 16'' crappie vertical jigging and spider rigging Bobby Garland
My go to color is the electric chicken and baby bass. If you see some idiot on Kentucky lake standing on the front of a boat crowing like a rooster then I just caught a nice one the electric chicken.
Unfortunately Kentucky lake crappie can be very fickle so you need many different colors of baits. Thank god Bobby garland has that.
There are times when Sunrise and Cajun cricket are the only ones that will get the job done. And I use Monkey milk a lot. The glow greens work real well some days.
And then there's the dark dirty water dark greens and blacks work great. The best way to figure out what color is hot is to go to the bait shop and the color they are out of is it. You better find some and you better make sure you have that color for your next trip.
I have a bag full of binders full of bobby garland baits. Known as the bag of tricks.
I am not a guide or affiliated with bobby garland. Just a guy whom some times gets a chance to fish for crappie and this is what works for me.
I hope this helps.
