    Default Barkley 8/25/15


    Didn't get home from work til about 1 a.m. and ended up oversleeping my alarm a little but decided to go anyway. Scratched out 9 before the wind blew me off the water. Fish were fairly aggressive but just didn't have enough time to put together a good mess. Really beautiful morning, man am I ready for fall.

    Nice mess. Fished Ky. today and had a few small fish and then my steering went out on the ranger for the second time out in less than a year. Back to Jetta and see how much it will be this time. Really sucks sometimes owning a boat. Just sayin!!

    I'm starting long break tomorrow. Gonna catfish below Barkley tomorrow afternoon then next week think I might try to find a few on the north end of Barkley.

    B break O out A another T thousand
    Sorry to hear that Buddy. I went Wednesday morning for a little while, found a lot of short fish but not many keepers.
    Water looked nasty and like it was wanting to turn over..
    Fish were aggressive though.
    Take you kids fishing today!!! They will be grown (and married and have children of their on) tomorrow. Then you can take your GRANDKIDS!

    We have some good years coming, haven't seen this many short fish since 2010. You can't keep them off the hook if you get a jig down in the brush in 17-20fow.

    I might not get to fish this week, trolling motor steering went out on me Friday below Barkley,,, Hoping its a simple fix.
