Good Day at Green River Lake 5/22

Caught a nice limit of 10 and 11in fish on Friday at Green River Lake, but had to cull through about 80 fish to do it (which is fairly typical on Green). Had one fish that went 12 in, but all-in-all it was a good day at GR. Just average-size fish. Caught fish as shallow as 6 ft, but the best fish came from 16 FOW fishing 14 ft deep. Jigs tipped with minnows. Caught only 2 fish all day on a plain jig and 3 fish just on a minnow by itself. (Just a side-note: many of the fish that came from the 16 ft water were about to burst with eggs.)

Some of the other members that have been fishing Green have also been catching some good numbers & size, from what I hear !!

I think the fish still with eggs are likely going to absorb them, since the water temps are probably too high for a viable spawn.

Don't know, CrappiePappy. If I can get off to come, I'll let you know. I've never been to one of the gatherings, but I'm sure I'd enjoy it.
