Barkley Lake Slabs!!

Only caught a few but they were all nice. Caught in 23 fow 10-20 feet down. Took me three hours to figure them out. Could not get them to bite on the structure I was fishing so went out to open water and that's where they were.

Same thing happened to me on Watts Bar Reservoir, a couple of years ago. Water level was fine, water temps were in spawning temp range, weather was finally stabilizing, etc etc .... and the fish were being caught by slow trollers out in 20-30+ fow, scattered here & there. And that was in mid APRIL !!
