Went out today, Monday, at 7:00am it was 51 degrees and when I loaded the boat at 1:00pm it was 56. I kept 6 all over 10" and must have caught 60 or more. Early they were off the channel at 15' with minnow and when it warmed I threw a 1/32 oz jig, 4' under a bobber right up on trees. Sure was an awesome day to be on the lake.![]()

What was the water like? Muddy? Was there very much trash floating in the water?
What part of the lake was you fishing if you don't mind me asking...I was think about goin tomorrow. .
anyone fish below the 31 bridge just before the state park entrance? from the road it looks good but never fished there
Bimbo,
That would be Peters Creek. A few folks caught good limits there about 2-3 weeks ago and made the mistake of spreading the word. Everyone in 5 counties has been on that creek in the last 2 weeks. It has seen a LOT of pressure so far this spring...
Couldn't have seen more pressure than last year. We counted 86 boats at one time down there last year for about 4 hours. You could tell when someone got a limit reel in a fish put all pole in the boat and gone all at once..
Today I fished by myself and it took awhile to find that tree at the end of the rainbow. The crappie were slammin a 1/32oz jig till they knocked the paint off. Well I lost a really nice one at the boat so got the net out and played it safe as I was pulling 12 an 13" fish in. Next thing I knew I had two guys in the back of my boat, one of them cleared his throat and asked if I'd share my coffee. Talk about gettin in your space. That's the last time I use a net and let them see me.
